All the woods we use are food safe hardwoods. The most common are blackwood, sepela mahogany, iroko, european beech and kiaat. You are able to specify your wood preference - this will probably impact the lead time for your board.

End grain cutting boards are renowned for being superior for knife maintenance, as the vertical wood fibers separate rather than sever, keeping blades sharper for longer and enabling a "self-healing" surface. They are extremely durable, aesthetically striking, and more hygienic, reducing deep cuts where bacteria hide.
